OOC: This is the library/rec room for everyone to enjoy. There is a television, pool table, and of course, books with plush chairs.

Walking in, Nick looked around. Very nice. Picking up the TV remote, he turned on the TV and found a channel playing M*A*S*H, then started setting up the pool table.Classic TV and a chance to hustle the not-so-hot hotshots out of their money. Excellent. I just hope General Landry's the kind of man who'll let me. Now I just need to think of a suitable first victim.
Pushing the topic out of his mind for awhile, Nick got to practicing.

He held out his hand to Charlotte.

"Charlotte Bird, archaeologist," Charlotte introduced herself. "Nice to meet you." She took his hand.

Solax smiled and sat down on a plush chair. He rubbed his eyes and watched Nick practicing pool.

"Nice to meet you, Charlotte. I'm Colonel Ryler, Base XO. Sure you can play, but we will soon find out if you can play." And with that, Nick sank the last two balls with a single shot.

"Indeed." Setting up the table for a fresh round, Nick tossed a cue stick over to Charlotte. When he was done, he gestured for her to break.

Charlotte potted the first two balls before hitting the third onto the cushion. "Your turn," she said.

Smiling, Nick takes aim. "So you want to you hardball, huh? I can do that." Having lined up his shot, the Colonel sunk two of his balls into the corners at one end of the table. Walking around to the side, he sank another one into a side pocket.
Analyzing the table, Nick saw his best shot was to bank a ball off the far end. Aiming, he pushed his cue forward, hitting the ball with a fair amount of force, only for it to drag against the edge and come just short of the corner pocket. At least that puts an effective block there. "Your turn, Ms. Bird."

Noticing that the pocket was blocked, Charlotte rolled her ball along the cushion, which only just dropped into another pocket. She hit another one of her balls, which accidently hit the ball covering the pocket. "Darn it, your turn," she said, stepping away from the pool table.

Stepping up to the table, Nick looked around. He then banked a shot into a side pocket. Hmm, two balls to go. Now which one of them to hit? Picking one, he shot the cue ball, but it went a little left and hit his target a little too head on, causing it to bounce off the side and head for the other one. It knocked into the Colonels other outball and both wound up hanging precariously on the edge of the middle and corner pockets to one side.
Well, I'm no worse of than before, and this puts me at something of an advantage. "Your turn."

Cerphrin stretched, and grabbed a book which was nearby. He started to read it, quite quickly, and not really paying attention to what it said.
