Daniel and Alex walked into the Mess Hall, smiling at the people they new, before entering the line and selecting their food. Both of them grabbed blue jello and coffee. He picked up some roasted chicken, and she found some meatloaf.
Daniel picked a table and the two sat down to enjoy their meals, and maybe talk a bit.

Vala walked in, and before she could get a jello, she saw Daniel and...that girl. She had felt the presence of someone with naquada in their blood before she had spotted that someone. Vala didn't much like Alex, and she suspected that Alex didn't much like her. Well, they'd have to deal with each other for now.
After picking up her jello, she walked over to their table, smiling at Daniel, and barely giving Alex a second look, "I guess this seat's not taken?"
She sat herself down before getting an answer.

General Landry came over the intercom, "Will Drs. Jackson and Ms. Malduran please report to my office. That is all."

Cocking her head to the side, Alex arose from her seat and led the way, knowing that Vala and her father were behind her. The trio headed towards the general's office.

The first two members of SG-10 walked into the Mess Hall, still dressed as members of the 101st Airborne. They both got blue jello and some hot coffee, talking about them being Army guys on a AF base.

A sgt walked into the mess hall and looked for the man known as Major Lewis. The only person in the mess with major pips was dressed as a WWII paratrooper.
Walking over to the man, the sgt said, "Um, excuse me, but are you Major Lewis?"
"Yeah, I am. I just haven't changed yet", Lewis smiled, seeing that he had a note.
"From the general, sir", the sgt gave him the note than walked off quickly.
The note said:
Major Lewis-
I am sorry that I just gave you command of SG-10, but there's a new colonel in town, and I'm putting him with you. He'll have command, and you'll be second. His name is Nick Ryler.
-Gen. Landry

Nick walked in just as a somewhat nervous looking Sgt. was walking out. Looking around, he spotted two men in reinactment garb. He saw one was reading a note and quickly deduced the rest. That Sgt. just gave the Major a note from the General about me.
Smiling a bit to himself, the Colonel walked over and sat by the men now under his command. "Howdy, gentlemen. Nick Ryler" he said, holding out his hand.

A look of confusion briefly passed over his face, but Rick figured the general knew what he was doing. Before he could put the note down, Colonel Ryler had found them.
Rick stood and took the offered hand, "Major Rick Lewis, nice to meet you colonel."
This is all a bit much, on a Air Force base with Buck, and now this whole thing about not being in charge of whatever SG-10 is anymore...

Nick could see the unease in Lewis' face, and thought it best to help him relax. "Sorry about this whole SG-10 command thing, Major. To be honest I had kinda hoped for the base XO position, but I suppose the General thought that my Ranger training would be of more use out in the field."

"If that's the position you wanted, then maybe you could talk to the general. He's new at this job, from what I've heard. Not that we wouldn't want you on the team", Rick smiled, glancing over to Buck.
Neal nodded, "Yeah, I'm sure we could work it out."

Smiling and chuckling to himself, Nick looked right at the Major. "To be honest, Major, it shows right through that your trying to get your own way. Yes, I know the General is new at this post, but you dont get to be a general at all without knowing what your doing. While I suppose I could talk to Landry, going through the gate is a whole new experience, and that's the sort of thing I thrive on."
He had emphasized thrive to let Lewis know that, for now, the matter was closed. "Now if you'll excuse, I have to go look into finding someone to round out the team." With that, the Colonel got up and went back to quarters.

"Well, he seemed nice", Neal shrugged.
Rick rolled his eyes, "Buck, you barely said a thing!"
"Honestly, I'm happy with just being a team member, and not having an important position. Besides, I was just listening...", He smiled.
"Uh-huh," Nick teased, "Buck, ol' buddy, I know what you were doing. You were feeling him out, seeing if he would be a good leader. You've done that to me too."
"Yeah, and I give him my approval", Neal shoved a spoonful of jello into his mouth so he wouldn't have to talk anymore.

Walter walked into the room and over to the two strangely dressed men, "Excuse me, sirs, but General Landry wanted me to tell you that your team has changed once again. You now have a historian and have lost the team leader. You will both resume your former roles within the team and are only one member short."
He walked off quickly, but not before grabbing some coffee for the general.

Charlotte walked into the Mess Hall and grabbed a sandwich and a coca cola. She walks over to an empty table and sits down, wondering who was in the team she had been assigned to.
